Steve Morse is a guitarist, pilot, founding member of the Dixie Dregs, longtime member of Kansas and Deep Purple, and friend of Steve Howe.
In the 1990s, Morse frequently conducted guitar clinics as a high-profile endorser for Ernie Ball / Music Man. His signature Ernie Ball Music Man Steve Morse guitar, introduced in 1987, became a centerpiece of these events, along with Ernie Ball Slinky strings.
This clinic at Zapf's Music Store (5th & Ruscomb Streets, Olney — North/Northeast Philadelphia) was sponsored by Ernie Ball. Zapf's was a major regional hub for musicians and regularly hosted nationally touring clinicians.
Morse made it clear that he would only participate as a promotional appearance if it were free and unpaid. After the clinic, Steve Morse and bassist Dave LaRue played and spent time hanging out with attendees for a couple of hours.
