Supertramp

Supertramp live in concert

I was lucky enough to see Supertramp on two occasions. The first time was on August 5, 1983, during the final tour featuring all five original members. We had made a giant banner to hold up from our floor seats at the Spectrum.

One of the most memorable moments of the show was the spectacular train-ride sequence during Rudy—a truly immersive experience. After the concert, we stood outside the venue holding our banner as the band’s van pulled by. Much to our surprise, they stopped, opened the door, and invited us in to talk while they autographed the banner.

I was particularly interested in speaking with Roger Hodgson about his decision to leave the band.
